Alan McKinnon – Professor of Logistics

23 January 2024

European Parliament session on labour and skill demands for the green and digital transformation of transport.

The European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism held a session on ‘New demands and skills for the green and digital transformation of the transport and automotive sectors’ on the 23 January 2024.  I was invited to give a presentation on the ‘Labour and skill requirements for the decarbonisation of freight transport and logistics’.  Other presentations by Jakub Stolfa, Max Johns and Andrea Broughton, examined labour and skills issues in, respectively, the automotive sector, shipping and transport in general.   The 50 minute session, moderated by the Committee Chair Karima Delli can be viewed here.

A copy of my presentation is available.
