Assessing the application of focus groups as a method for collecting data in logistics
The aim of this paper is to provide a guide on how to deploy focus groups as a supportive
method to achieve industrial relevance without compromising the academic rigour of logistics research. It presents a framework which outlines factors influencing the effectiveness of the focus group as a method of collecting logistics data. The analysis is based on experience of using focus group discussions in the course of a major research project in green logistics.
