Lunchtime Recital at Heriot-Watt University

I had the pleasure of accompanying on the piano mezzo-soprano Joyce Byrne in a lunchtime concert at Heriot-Watt University. Joyce has had a distinguished career in Ireland and across Europe performing music of varying styles from light entertainment to oratorios and grand opera. It was a great experience and honour to work with her in what was my debut as an accompanist. We had a varied programme of traditional Scottish and Irish songs and classical pieces by Beethoven and Schubert.
