16 April 2026

Launch of KLU ENLOP programme 2026

The 2026 ENLOP executive programme started at KLU on the 16 and 17 April.  Over the next seven months the 14 managers enrolled on the programme will visit five of KLU’s European partner universities in Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Warsaw and Paris before returning to Hamburg for the concluding session in November.

I had the pleasure of launching the programme with a review of logistics and supply chain megatrends, many of which will be examined in greater detail at the partner institutions.  For the corresponding event last year I prepared a fictitious scenario of the possible impact of climate change and geopolitical trends on the management of global supply chains ten years in the future. I used an updated version of the scenario for 2036 to stimulate a discussion of what this future might hold for supply chain professionals.

Scenario 2036  - updated version of the scenario for the 2026 ENLOP programme

On the 17 April, the ENLOP group attended the Kuehne Foundation’s 20th Annual Logistics Day which was held in KLU.  It is described in a separate news item.
