International Workshop on Green Freight initiatives, Brasilia

Brasilia event

I contributed to an International Workshop on Green Freight Initiatives in Brasilia organised by the Brazilian National Confederation of Transport (CNT) and SENAT, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Canada (NRCan), the International Council and Clean Transportation (ICCT) and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  I did this online from my office in Edinburgh, thereby avoiding the addition of 3.6 tonnes of aviation CO2 to my carbon footprint (for return economy class flights via Paris and Rio de Janeiro). I spoke about the decarbonisation of freight transport in a session moderated by Erica Marcos of CNT with Catalina Etcheverra of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition and Rachel Muncrief of the ICCT as the other two speakers on the theme of ‘Global Trends, Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Transportation’.
