The Humanitarian Logistics Association organised a webinar examining ways of reducing the carbon intensity of humanitarian logistics in which Kathleen Hegyesi of Flexport and I gave presentations.  The increasing frequency and severity of extreme weather events attributable to climate change will be increasing the need for relief aid over a period when this sector will be expected to reduce its carbon footprint.  My presentation shows how these conflicting trends might be reconciled by cutting the carbon intensity of humanitarian logistics.
