Boostlog is an ambitious new project examining ways of increasing the impact of EU-funded freight transport and logistics research.  It will be undertaken over the next three years by a consortium of organisations coordinated by the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE).  This will  involve reviewing ‘successful implementations of results from EU funded R&I projects and assessing the impacts generated. It will also identify gaps and priorities for future funding programmes aiming to boost impact generated from future EU funded R&I projects‘.   I was invited to give a keynote address at the project’s launch event.  In my talk I gave an academic perspective on efforts to translate the results of logistics research into action.
