Procuring Green Logistics - column in Logistics Manager

 

The Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance (SFBA) was launched last month during Smart Freight Week in Rotterdam (see earlier news item).  As one of the contributors to the launch event, I decided to devote my column in this month’s Logistics Manager magazine to a discussion of the role of procurement in the decarbonisation of logistics. With around $6 trillion spent annually on outsourced logistics services, the buyers of these services can exert significant environmental leverage.
