Supply Chain Resilience and Decarbonisation

There has been much discussion in recent years about ways of improving the resilience of supply chains and reducing their carbon intensity, but few attempts have so far been made to examine the interaction between these objectives.  I do this in a presentation that I gave to an online meeting organised by NTM, the Swedish organisation that for 30 years has been promoting the measurement of environmental performance in the transport sector.  I ask how close an alignment there is between resilience and decarbonisation in the management of supply chains and what are the main areas of synergy and conflict.

You can watch a recording of my talk at here  and download my presentation here
