Logistics of Carbon Sequestration

In my column in the first Logistics Manager magazine of 2023 I briefly discuss carbon dioxide removal, arguing that logistics will play ‘a pivotal role’ in its operation at a planetary scale. Climate modelling suggests that by 2050 around 6 billion tonnes of CO₂ may have to be removed annually from the atmosphere. This will involve an enormous ramp-up of current carbon capture capabilities and the movement of vast amounts of material.
